hi. I'm sitting in my room, fiddling around on commonapp and attempting to write a few supplement essays. dude It's so cold in here. The rest of the house is toasty, but I guess mi cuarto gets left out of the whole 'heat' thing.
:^B
I visited Cooper Union and The School of Visual Arts this weekend, which meant a trip to Manhattan, which meant I had an awesome couple of days. I love it there. I want to go to school there 8)
Anyway, now I'm working on a couple of projects to amp up my portfolio, but it's hard to do when you're so cold and too lazy to get socks and a sweater.
dillemmemememamamamamaaaaaaaaaaassssss
Also, my AIM is busted and iTunes music gone. I'm sad about that.
the end.

Next I'm reading Brave New World and Hardball, then onto LOTR and a couple of others on my Goodreads. These are books for AP Literature and AP Government. So far I'm really happy.. especially compared to last year's summer reading. That was so not fun. Oh, speaking of AP, I got my grades back finally, and I have to say I'm very pleased.. a little skeptical, because I don't believe I studied hard enough to get 5's in those classes, but still. There is life after AP. hahaa es la verdad

I've also been looking at colleges recently, since it'll be time to apply soon. I found the site http://www.campuscompare.com/ and I think it's really neat. You put in your sat scores and a couple other pieces of information and then you look up some schools you're interested in and it gives you a little guess at whether you'd get in or not. Now, getting in is determined by a couple of other things as well, of course, and it doesn't really do much with art schools, since it's not like I can upload my portfolio and get a critique or anything (although that would be NEEEET), but it is cool for a start. Plus, it has information on schools I'm looking at, all in one site c:

Not a whole lot else to say right now. I'll post more later I'm sure. PEACE YO
IMEAN..YEAH. I don't have a lot of bad to say about the movie tbh.

I'm happy that it was as good as it was. Personally, I freakin loved it. The funny parts were amazing and the serious parts were as dark as they needed to be.
I also think they shortened everything well and properly- relationships, plot lines and all of that- and while I wish they didn't have to do so, I understand that it's necessary. After all these movies, this one finally made me recognize the line between the books and the movies. Now, while I would sit through a four hour movie to see every detail from the book, as many of us would do, we all know that's not happening any time soon.

What I didn't like that they skipped my favorite Dumbledore quote. grr. Also, I didn't like the choppiness between some scenes. Don't get me wrong, most of them were good, but sometimes it felt just a little too abrupt. Like, for example, the scene at Christmas is dramatic and scary, but right afterward we jump back to school and the atmosphere goes back to being funny? idk I feel like that could have been edited better, or the transition could have been easier.. eh.

BUT OTHER THAN THAT I PRETTY MUCH LOVED THE ENTIRE THING :D

After I yelled at him, he confessed to having been on my computer while I was gone, but, for some reason or another, while getting up he tripped and fell into my dresser. He must have left the room before realizing what really happened, because when he slammed into my dresser, where the fish tank sits, he broke the heater inside Graham's tank. When the heater turned on to heat the water, Graham must have been electrocuted.

sigh
at least i have closure now. i should be on fucking csi

Good morningggggg

Aside from all this puppy nonsense, Christmas went well. I got a new phone and I love it :D An enV2, pretty common, but it's adorable and I love it. Also, my parents gave me Beedle the Bard, which is, as expected, wonderful.
hmmm what else happened what else happened what else happeneddddd
I was exhausted when we went to my grandparents' house Christmas evening, though, which made me sad because I absolutely love Christmas with the family. I have lots of cousins, and we all just get together and talk and play Yankee Swap and relax. but I was falling asleep the whole time and couldn't seem to get comprehensible words out of my mouth.
ah well, there's always next year~~~

That damn puppy. It isn't here yet, you see. I think this was a bad time to ride the underground railroad of puppy rescues, to be honest. (I guess what happens is someone rescues them from a killcenter, right, and then they drop them off at someone's house, who drives them up to someone else's house blah blah and eventually they get somewhere around where I live. Well someone got stuck in a snowstorm last week and hasn't been able to get in contact with the next person along the.. traintrack, if you will. That's the problem right now :c It isn't as if there aren't millions of other animals out there, it's just.. I've grown attached to this one. That's craziness, isn't it? I haven't even met him yet. oi.) Naturally I should just be patient, but it makes me sad. I wish my parents just hadn't said anything until he was, well, tangible xD but we'll get him eventually. It's still the holidays, patience is necessary.

ANYWAY~~~~
I've saved up almost $300 for my trip since paying a bunch for it in October :) I'd like to have somewhere around five hundred for spending money, food and all that. I'd like to buy a couple things while I'm in Ireland and London, but the chaperones have told us multiple times that we're responsible for fitting it all in our suitcases, and that they will not carry anything for us. haha.
so if I work every weekend until April, I can most likely reach my goal. The interruption, you see, is that I'd like to buy a new camera, since mine is.. well not great. It's a video camera, that's its function, not taking nice, pretty pictures. It works well taking videos, and I'll probably bring it along as well, but I want to take beautiful pictures of the beautiful places we're going, so I'd like to buy a new camera which can do that :D
I'm still in the process of looking for one. I think I've decided on a simple one with nice picture quality thatican'trememberthenameof but one of my friends has it and I've played with it and it's lovely. har har vague.

The newly lj-reborn Alexa has inspired me to write my own list of resolutions, but I think I'll post a different entry about that...

School is going fairly well. I have more 80s than I'd like (I'LL PUT THAT ON MY LIST OF RESOLUTIONS~~), but everything's ship shape. This week I'm going to work on practicing for my SAT later this year- I got my grade back for the PSAT, and I wasn't exactly thrilled. Colleges like at least 1800, right? I can do that. I HAS GOAL.
Also, this week I'd like to learn how to drive. haha. I've been sixteen since September, but I never took my permit test :( And now there's snow on the ground, so it might be a little trickier now, but I'm going to take that damn test by February (which is saying something, because January is a hard month for me :O), I swear.

oh and another thing! Our show, Anything Goes, starts on Monday :D I'm excited~ didn't get a lead part, but I can't say I expected to. The people who did get parts are really good xD Plus, there are tons of minor parts left, so it won't be like last year where we were on stage for five minutes. I'm excited and ready >:)

Oh one last thing I swear! haha I took that Myers Briggs Personality test. I've taken it before, but I didn't understand what the hell it was. Now I do, and I'm enjoying looking up what it means and everything :D It's awfully fun. anyhoo, I'm INFJ:
Introverted (I) 82% Extraverted (E) 18%
Intuitive (N) 64% Sensing (S) 36%
Feeling (F) 70% Thinking (T) 30%
Judging (J) 50% Perceiving (P) 50%
WHAT TYPE ARE YOU~~~?

I went to a dance this Saturday. While we were getting ready, my friend and I realized that it wasn't a school dance without glitter. So we searched through the bathroom for it. After about twenty minutes, we found this shitty little thing of body glitter, got really excited, and then spilled it everywhere. It was all on my dress, my face aghgh it was everywhere. i was pissed.
so to get over my ANGAR, I went around the entire night saying "THIS IS THE SKIN OF A KILLERRRRR."

no one seemed to understand- and those who did got kind of mad.
i thought it was funny.
:)

NYC TRIP

hp weekend is too much fun. and the clips of hbp? I'm excited :[[[

Okay so my art class took a trip to the city yesterday. it was so much funnnn. I love nyc. I want to live there D:

Downside was we had to get up at five. lame. but then we got on the bus and watched Across the Universe, so it was okay :] No one else brought movies! see, this is pretty much an annual trip, and usually people bring a ton of movies, so I usually don't bother bringing any, and this year I was like ehh I'll bring it I guess, so I did but OMG no one else did! like two other kids. way lame.
so we had a sing-along on the bus to atu. it was fun.

THENNNN we finally got to the city, the bus dropped my group off at bryant park and we headed off toward the zoo. First we stopped at Sephora to whore ourselves out (I used hot pink eyeshadow and glitter liner! it was funny), then we went to the zoo to see some aminulz. I drew pictures it was fun :] We saw sea lions, they were adorable, then some penguins zooming through their little tanks, then these crazy birds who stepped on my friends' heads, and then stopped by the monkeys before leaving. The snow monkeys were hysterical. Right before they came out from behind a rock, I read the little information thing on the rail and it was like 'RED MONKEY BUTT MEANS READY TO MATE' and I looked at the monkey and it was like RARRRRRR humping away (after it was over, the boy monkey had the funniest face '>:ooooo' omg). my friend katie got a video. probably the highlight of the day.

then! we left and went to this place called jekyll and hyde for food. I ended up paying 45$ for lunch (I hate splitting bills. I always get screwed :|), but it was cool there. one of those themed restaurants, you know? everyone was really into it. I thought it was funny there.

After that we went to the MOMA before leaving for home again. I guess it was like 'at four the moma is free' day? so we had to wait in line (which went surprisingly quickly, tbh, but the thing is, last year when I went to the city it was get in free day too, and I kind of wanted to see if it was ever not crowded beyond reason there. oh well, next time). once we got in, a couple of kids and i were like uhh cause we didn't really know where to go, so we just wandered upstairs-
oh my goodness.
We went to this trippy exhibit, it was crazy. All along the walls was this big projection of a crazy movie.. thing? I can't explain it. so here: http://moma.org/exhibitions/exhibitions.php?id=9760
my group and I just jumped over people and laid down in the middle xD LITERALLY AN HOUR WE STAYED THERE, TOTALLY STUCK. SRSLY WE WERE STUCK. not until five could we get back out, and that was because we had to leave, lmao. it wasn't as if we couldn't climb over people, (that's how we got into the middle~), but rather something about the music, the images, and the people watching from above (cause people could see us over the railings on higher floors. I kept waving at cameras. I'm famous now! haha~) that all just made me want to stay. lmao.

OKAY SO ONCE WE ESCAPED THE SCARY TRIPPY AREA, we went to van gogh really quick, then ran outside to sprint for cheesecake. Anyone ever been to Roxy Delicatessen? they sell amazinggggggggg cheesecake there. My art teacher bought us some (she's awesome), then we ran back to Bryant Park to catch the bus. haha it was fun :)

The ride back was very funny, up until they put on I Am Legend- which was not about a guy running around the city with jaguars like I thought it would be. My friend and I were very upset by it, so we watched movies on her ipod instead. :( it was scary. Then I fell asleep, but they made me get up when we got back to school. I hate it when that happens.

That's the end! Aren't you glad I put this in a cut? bwahaha.

tl;dr:
NYC was fun- of course!

Don't Get Lost in Heaven- Gorillaz. I just can't get the chorus out of my head. Plus, I think they're brilliant.
4.) Fool On the Hill- Beatles. How do you have a top five song list without the beatles on it?
5.) The Battle of Evermore- Led Zeppelin. Same rule applies as above.

1.) Scarves. ohhh my god. It's freezing here, and everyone wears one all day at school. You'd think they would turn the heat on after a while, but eh.
2.) Socks. Again, it's freezing and socks make me happy. Particularly these ones I found at American Eagle. They're hot pink, really thin but very soft :D
3.) Sweaters. I feel like an old person, but dammit I like comfortable items of clothing.
4.) Flip-flops. It's funny to see kids walk into school all hip and fly wearing their flip-flops like it's june. You see them shivering later and it's like hahahaaaa. I wear socks with my flip-flops sometimes, but then my brother told me that was lame.
5.) Moccasins. I want a pair, but I can't find any :\ tragic, I know.

and the quotes I'm bailing on because I can't think of any right now. sry bb.
